EFL – Senior Internal Auditor (k/m/n)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to lead and execute internal audit engagements and supervis and coordinate the work of a small audit team (2–3 auditors). The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit assignments, assessing risks and controls, and providing value-adding recommendations to management.

Key responsibilities:

• lead and perform end-to-end internal audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up,
• supervise and coordinate the work of a 2–3 person audit team supporting audit assignments,
• assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes,
• conduct audits with a strong focus on risks, controls and financial processes,
• prepare clear, concise audit reports and present results to senior management,
• monitor the implementation of audit recommendations,
• contribute to the development of the annual audit plan and continuous improvement of audit methodologies.

Required qualifications & experience:

• university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law or a related field,
• at least 5 years of experience in internal or external (financial) audit, preferably in a senior or lead role,
• strong knowledge of financial auditing, internal controls, and risk management frameworks,
• experience in leading audit assignments and managing small teams,
• excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills,
• fluency in English (written and spoken).

Certifications:

• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) – acquired or in progress

• CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance)
